URBAN ARCHIVE - THE FORGOTTEN CITY
KNOWN PLACES, UNKNOWN DOODLE
Collaboration with Daniel Bilici
This photo series began as a way to look closer at Moldova’s everyday streets. The kind of places most people pass without noticing. Spaces that feel invisible because they’re too familiar.
Together with photographer Daniel Bilici, we set out to highlight these clichés of urban neglect. The overlooked details became the focus: peeling paint, rust stains, abandoned signs, empty corners. Things that carry their own stories, even if nobody asks to hear them.
The doodle, represented as the main character, becomes a witness of the city’s state. It brings out the irony of standing between what has decayed and the feeling of not fully belonging. By being there, in these forgotten places, the character makes the overlooked harder to ignore.
The intention was simple: to expose the hidden layer of Moldova’s urban life.
